The history of Japan ranges back to almost the 1st century in the documentation and books but the physical remains range back to a thousand years only. Since the history of Japan is scattered over multiple centuries, it is also rich and full of different ear’s periods and rulers. Ranging from the Jomon period to Yayoi period to Yamato Period to Nara Period and then the Edo Period before the seclusion, Japan has had its fair share of rulers.
Seclusion was the stage where Japanese rulers and authorities secluded Japan from European states, merchants and traders in an attempt to maintain and save the integrity of Japan.
Japan was country rich in history and heritage but with the start of World War I in 1914, Japan also became a part of the war and it was only after the World War II was over and the rule and control of foreign countries and nations had ended, Japan regained control, but at this stage the industry and economy of Japan was badly damaged and years of struggle and development almost reduced to none.
It was in the span of 30 years ranging from 1930 to 1980, Japan saw rapid progress and extremely robust results. With assistance from superpowers like USA and Japan’s intelligent and effective strategies, Japan grew from ashes to one of the major economic power of the world.
The economic takeoff started in 1945 after devastation and destruction because Japan follows a welfare society concept where total employment, small and medium sized companies and welfare of social members is the number 1 priority. This struggle and success only reflects on how organized, hard working and motivated Japan is as a nation.
Over the years Japan has not only regained its economic strength but also emerged as one of the bucket list places for tourists and visitors. Over 31.8 million international tourists visited Japan in 2018. The country is rich in history, culture, heritage and recreational sites.
